Centurion Foundation today announced the completion of its purchase of Northlake Mall in suburban Atlanta, including an adjacent building formerly occupied by Macy’s. The adjacent J.C. Penney site was not part of this transaction. The $95 million acquisition will transform the mall into a new Northlake Campus for Emory Healthcare, as the Atlanta-based healthcare system becomes its primary tenant through a long-term agreement with Centurion.

To lead Centurion’s expanded efforts in the higher education sector, Mason Ailstock has joined the foundation as President of Higher Education Services.

Centurion Foundation, a charitable 501(c)(3) organization that works with health care, educational, and government institutions to cost effectively finance, build, and manage mission-critical facilities, announced that Roger Williams Memorial Center in Providence, R.I. and Our Lady of Fatima Hospital in North Providence, R.I., two essential safety-net hospitals previously at risk of closure, have been financially stabilized and returned to local, non-profit management.
